Logic and Soul.
From childhood, I felt as though I had a foot in two separate worlds. One world was governed by logic and reason (and seemed to be primarily inhabited by grown-ups). The other world was the stuff dreams are made of, a place where creativity, storytelling and magic ruled.
As I grew older, I began spending more and more time in the first world, until I almost forgot the second even existed. Luckily, a few things happened that changed all that.
Now I spend a fair amount of time in both worlds, and I help other people do the same. Some call this work Life Coaching.
Women often come to me because they are at a crossroads, trying to decide which direction they should take. Through a gentle yet deep process, I help them unpack what is going on, decide what steps to take, and then confidently move into living their best, most authentic lives.
I approach coaching with creativity and curiosity (along with a hefty dose of logic and reason). As for the results my clients create for themselves… those can only be described as magic.
A few things you should know about me.
I love cheap (but good) red wine, trashy novels, and yoga pants. I also love coffee, literature, and yoga itself. If you were to randomly play a selection from my music library… Well, let’s just say there’s no telling what you’d find.
I am irreverent and spiritual (but not religious). I believe in Jesus, love the Buddha, and refer to God, the Universe and Source in equal measure (they are all the same Divine Creator to me). I sometimes swear, usually when I’m fired up about something. If any of this bothers you, then we’re probably not a good match.
I am a self-taught artist, and have been known to spend entire days playing in my visual journal. Paint on my hands pleases me to no end. If you happen to be in San Diego and want to play, feel free to grab your journal and swing by.
Travel is one of my favorite things. There is something about stepping off a plane and into a new culture that is equal parts magical and grounding. I want to do more of this, and soon.
Before I trained with Dr. Martha Beck as a life coach, I spent 15+ years in Corporate America, starting my career as a Technical Writer and working my way up to a C-level position overseeing software development. This made my left brain more or less happy, my right brain not so much.
I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful sons. They are my mirrors, helping me everyday to show up authentically and speak my Truth. I love them fiercely. They also make me a little nutty sometimes. Keeps life interesting.
I’m a closet personality test junkie. I’m INFP on the MBTI, a Quick Start-Fact Finder on the Kolbe. According to StrengthsFinder 2.0, I veer towards Connectedness, Learning, Intellection, Input and Ideation. My Archetypes are Intellectual, Visionary and Spiritual. If you know what I’m talking about, please come sit by me.
I love stories in all forms, but I especially love the stories my clients share with me, and the new ones they create through our work together.
If you’re ready to share your story, I’m in.
